Carla Reyes
Carla Reyes (she/her) is the Chief Operating Officer for Washington Health Benefit Exchange.
Prior to joining the Exchange, was the Director of Washington's Paid Family and Medical Leave Division of the Employment Security Department where she led a talented team to implement the Nation's 5th paid leave program. Within 1 year of passage of the paid leave law, the team had implemented a brand-new technology system and within 30 months began issuing the first wage replacement benefits so Washingtonians could take paid time to give or receive care.
Carla is a dynamic leader with over twenty years of experience spanning multiple levels of state government - from direct client service to executive leadership. She specializes in leading and managing large-scale transformation projects, prioritizing excellent customer service and the use of new and innovative business delivery approaches and was recognized for her work as a recipient of the Governor's Award for Leadership in Management.
Carla studied International Business at the University of Pacific and is a Certified Diversity Executive.
