Mabel Bodell

Mabel Bodell, MD, was appointed by Gov. Inslee to the Washington Health Benefit Exchange Board in January 2021. She is a Nephrologist at Confluence Health in Wenatchee, WA and Medical Director of the Acute Dialysis Unit at Central Washington Hospital and the East Wenatchee Dialysis Unit. Since 2014, she has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Previously, she served as faculty at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Originally from Argentina, Dr. Bodell is a member of the Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Council at Confluence Health where she works to expand access to health care through community outreach, especially for Central Washington’s Latinx communities. In 2021, Confluence Health and The Wenatchee World recognized Dr. Bodell with the 2021 Local Hero Award for her outreach and advocacy work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
