Molly Voris is the Chief Policy Officer and member of the executive leadership team for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange that powers Washington Healthplanfinder, the state’s new online health insurance marketplace.
In this role, she leads the implementation of Cascade Care, Washington State’s innovative initiative focusing on standard benefit designs and a public option. She also guides the development of the strategic plan with the Exchange Board, shaping the Exchange’s policy initiatives and future direction of the organization. Ms. Voris leads the Exchange’s legislative and external affairs portfolio, collaborating with state legislators, key partners, tribes, the Governor’s office, and federal partners on both state and federal policy.
Ms. Voris has been on the forefront of health reform efforts for more than a decade. Prior to joining the Exchange, she served as Program Director at the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices where she advised states on implementing the Affordable Care Act. She also worked on Medicare issues at the Kaiser Family Foundation, focusing on the implementation of Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage.
Ms. Voris holds a Master of Public Health degree from George Washington University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and Spanish from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
