Erik Farstad is the Chief Performance Officer for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange. In this role, Erik directs the work of the Enterprise Project Management Office and oversees the Exchange’s Lean improvement efforts. Additional areas of focus include process improvement, improved customer experience, and leading cross-departmental initiatives.
Prior to joining the Exchange, Erik served as a Senior Business Process Engineer and held senior management positions focusing on operational support and performance improvement at Providence Health and Services. Erik has over 15 years of experience leading organizations through change and delivering results. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has extensive experience in planning and project management.
Erik has a Master of Business Administration degree from Baker College in Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Planning Studies from the University of Washington.
