Beth Walter is the Director of Operations for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange. Beth oversees the implementation of Exchange operations and the business functions of the Exchange. She provides operational supervision to the Exchange and works closely with partners of the Exchange to ensure the entity is working appropriately and with integrity.
Prior to joining the Exchange, Beth served as the Program Director of the Washington State Health Care Authority’s Health Insurance Partnership (HIP), a program designed to increase access to health insurance for small employers and their employees. Beth led all phases of the program’s development and implementation, managed the strategic planning for the program, developed policy priorities, and supported the HIP Board with research and recommendations for policy decisions concerning employer enrollment policies and health benefit plans to be offered through HIP. Before joining the HCA, Beth was the Business Manager for the Washington Public Affairs Network (TVW). At TVW, Beth managed the organization’s operating budget and $6 million capital project. She also managed the organization’s payroll and administered the employees’ health care benefits.
Beth has a Masters of Business Administration with a graduate certificate in Health Care Administration from Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
