Mark Stensager was appointed by Gov. Inslee to the Washington Health Benefit Exchange in December 2014. Mark serves as a member of the Exchange Board Operations Committee.
Mark has 40 years of experience as an administrator in health and human services. He retired in 2012 and continues to be actively involved in health and human services activities. Among his many volunteer activities, Mark serves as the board chair for Senior Services in Seattle.
Prior to his retirement, Mark served as the CEO of the Guthrie Healthcare System, a hospital system with 3,000 employees providing services in Pennsylvania and New York. He has experience working in several health care systems, including Group Health Cooperative, Henry Ford Medical Group, and PhyCor. He also served as the director of the Seattle King County Area Agency on Aging.
