2018 Plan Quality Ratings

Quality ratings can help consumers shop for health plans by letting them compare medical care and member-reported experiences of plan service. When comparing plans on Washington Healthplanfinder, you’ll see a rating of 1 star (lowest rated) to 5 stars (highest rated). Some plans are noted as “too new to rate” which means there isn’t enough data to provide a rating for 2018.

Washington Healthplanfinder Quality Ratings represent the overall quality rating for each plan. The Medical Care, Patient Experience and Insurance Company Service scores are combined to get the overall Washington Healthplanfinder Quality Rating score.

Medical Care: Information collected from reviewing medical charts at doctors’ offices.

Patient Experience: Based on enrollee responses to survey questions about their access to care and interaction with their doctors.

Insurance Company Service: Based on enrollee responses to survey questions about their experience with their health plan’s customer service and administration as well as medical chart reviews.
